Burns the Donuts
I bought this Nostalgia Mini Donut Bakery Kit at a local store at a deeply discounted price. I didn't even think to check the reviews on Amazon first because the price was so low. Who would have thought this donut maker would be so lowly rated? I bought this set in the cute tin but the donut maker and it's reviews can be found at Nostalgia Electrics MDM-600 Mini Orbital Donut Maker.
I have to concur with all the reviews. This doesn't work very well. It does burn the donuts. I followed the directions of a fellow reviewer and baked the donuts for exactly 3 minutes and turned the whole machine over at a minute and a half to help a little bit. I used a muffin mix that comes in a pouch and that worked well but the donuts still tried to burn at just 3 minutes.
The size donuts were a nice size, similar to the powdered ones that come in the bag.
