Lansky 2 Rod Diamond Knife Sharpener

Sharpening for Dummies. : )
If you can hold your knife vertically straight, and hold it there, then you will have a shaving sharp blade. I found that the holes were slightly bigger then the ceramic rods which caused some play "movement" of the rods. So not sure of the actual angles there. All in all a simple and good system for free hand. Not recommended for people who have the shakes.

an excellent sharpener
I have had this sharpener for just a short while. I have a friend who has the same, and I was impressed at the edge that you can achieve from this tool. I recently purchased some new knives for skinning, and general purpose outdoor usage. After using this tool, they are dangerously sharp, and I must learn to handle with more care....ask me how I know this...lol...ouch..!

A great tool, nice wooden box with storage for the sharpening rods makes it easy to pack in my hunting gear. I wish it had come with some simple instructions as there are two different angles in which you may sharpen.

Nevertheless, I gave it a 5 star rating due to the excellent job that it did on 3 hunting knives.

Just want the guy wanted
Ordered this for Christmas and will say it made me quite popular with the guy. He loved it and is always shapening his Case pocket knife. It's only for small knives though- I discovered, when I asked him to sharpen the turkey carving knife.
