Perfect Fries works great if you have upper body strength.
Perfect Fries works great if you have upper body strength. I don't have the upper body strength that my husband does so I really can't cut the potatoes as he can. My husband cuts up potatoes in aproximately 3 seconds a potato - start to finish. For really long potaotoes simply cut them in half. He's came into the kitchen and found me cutting up potatoes with a knife and has said, no, no, no, let me do it. Out comes the Perfect Fries and as mentioned before, in about 3 seconds a potato is turned into fries and the next potato is in the machine ready to go. It's really easy to clean. However, we do it immediately after use, rinsing with warm soapy water. We bought it as an impulse purchase when they had them for ten dollars in WalMart. And, it really does work for those with good upper body strength.
Threw away the first time we tried to use it
Waste of money. Threw it away the first time we used it. Wondered if maybe we were supposed to parboil the potatoes first or something. We put a raw potato in it and tried to push the top down and it got stuck. Could not budge it. My husband came in and tried to pull it apart but it completely fell to pieces as he tried to force it out
Junk
Do yourself a favor and don't buy this! What a waste of money and so frustrating to use. It only works with really small potatoes and if you do bigger ones it gets stuck. The second potato I did got stuck even after following the instructions. I tossed it the first time I used it. Pure junk (as with most As Seen on TV stuff I've bought!)
