Jarden stands by their products
I have an older V2480 ( I wish all reviews would give better details) that has worked great for MANY years. We use it extensively during huckleberry season and hunting season. But it also gets a workout throughout the rest of the year. 3 years ago I knew I needed new gaskets because it was taking "forever" to do the last lock down to seal. I did extensive online research and eventually came up with the correct part number. The FoodSaver (Jarden) website was no help with the process of research. Well, it was time for new gaskets again (Oct 2012)so I tried the FoodSaver website ... once again no help ... and my other research was getting frustrating once again. I ended up emailing Customer Service on the FoodSaver website ... sternly expressing my frustration at trying to find the replacement gasket ... giving them the product history and physical dimensions in the email. To my total Shock & Amazement I received an email from Customer Service telling me they were sending me 2 new...
Save your Foodsaver!!
My Foodsaver stopped working, and I thought that I would have to buy a new one. Their website was worthless when it came to solving this problem. I had a hunch that it was the gaskets. They were listed on Foodsaver's website, but there were never any in stock!! A quick Google search showed that our good ally Amazon had them. I ordered two sets and my Foodsaver now works like brand new!!
here's what this gasket fits
Foodsaver has many different gaskets - All V2400, V2800, V3400, and V3800 Series Appliances is one T910-00075 ( on the stand up models like the 3825 the the gasket by the seal strip is a hard rubber and the other is a foam gasket - that is the one you change) On the flat models like the 2460 this gasket works on both.
T910-00159-000 fits the VAC800 and VAC900 Series.
