Sunbeam FRSBWDBK 4-Quart Ice Cream Wooden Bucket

Waste of Money
Very disappointing. I have a small counter-top ice-cream maker, but for Fourth of July, and 20 guests, I wanted to recreate that old-fashioned feel of making a gallon of ice-cream in a freezer for the kids. Since we don't make large amounts of ice-cream on a regular basis any longer, I didn't think paying for the expensive brand was justified. The first time use was not perfect, but overall no complaints except that the wooden bucket just feels cheap. I followed the instructions for cleaning and stored it. Weekend company arrived five weeks later, and we decided to make ice-cream for everyone. I noticed that one of the metal bands around the bucket had come loose, but thought it was a small issue. The canister was inserted with the ice and salt and loaded with the ice-cream mixture. Everything was set but the motor wouldn't fit. It slid into the first slot, but you couldn't pull it down to latch it because the bucket had shrunk so far! Someone had to stand there holding the other end...

Bucket good, motor not
The bucket looked nice and never leaked, not even during seasoning.
A plastic gear broke in the motor the second time I used it so I returned it for refund.

Perfect
Perfect item. Works as indicated. Durable and authentic. Would recommend for anyone wanting to make homemade ice cream. Love this item.
